Whistle Horror Movie Set for Theatrical Release, Not Streaming Yet- Shudder Original Heading to Screens

If you’re excited for a new supernatural thriller this month, here’s a key update ahead of its theatrical run. Whistle, the horror film directed by Corin Hardy and starring Dafne Keen, is scheduled to release in U.S. theaters on February 6, 2026 via IFC Films and Shudder, but it is not yet available on major streaming platforms.

The movie follows a group of teens who stumble upon an ancient Aztec death whistle, a terrifying artifact that summons deadly forces when blown. Early promotional materials highlight the film’s blend of mythic horror and suspense, making it one of the most talked-about new genre entries as February begins.

Keen leads a cast that includes Sophie Nélisse, Sky Yang, Jhaleil Swaby, Ali Skovbye, Percy Hynes White, Michelle Fairley, and Nick Frost. The ensemble adds range to the eerie narrative, which puts ordinary characters up against supernatural dread rooted in ancient ritual.

Because Whistle is a Shudder original released theatrically by IFC Films, it will likely move to streaming on Shudder later, potentially in late March 2026, but no official digital release date has been announced yet. Viewers hoping to watch it on platforms like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video should expect to wait until after its theatrical window closes.

Horror fans looking for something fresh this weekend might want to add Whistle to their watchlist at cinemas, as its mix of supernatural myth and character-driven tension has already stirred buzz ahead of release.
