A new psychological horror film is bringing together an intriguing cast and an acclaimed genre filmmaker.
Kid Cudi (X, Trap) and Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day, Boy Kills World) will star in Pathetic Fallacy. Adam Egypt Mortimer, director of Daniel Isn’t Real and Archenemy, is directing the film.
While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the project is being described as a psychedelic horror film, suggesting another mind-bending experience from Mortimer, whose previous work blended psychological horror with surreal visuals. Production is backed by Mad Solar and Prairie Dogs Film, with Steven Schneider, Karina Manashil, Ashleigh Snead, and K. Asher Levin producing.
The film marks another major horror role for Kid Cudi following X, while Rothe continues to build an impressive genre résumé after headlining the Happy Death Day films. No release date has been announced, and the project is currently in post-production.
