Evil Dead Burn Unleashes First Poster as Franchise Heads Into Darker Territory

The next chapter in the Evil Dead franchise is beginning to reveal itself. Evil Dead Burn has released its first official poster, giving horror fans a new glimpse at the upcoming sequel ahead of its summer release.

The newly unveiled artwork leans heavily into the franchise’s signature style of grotesque horror and psychological torment, while also teasing a more emotionally brutal story than previous entries. Early promotional material suggests the film will focus on a fractured family reunion that spirals into Deadite chaos.

Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, the filmmaker behind the acclaimed French horror film Infested, Evil Dead Burn is expected to continue the franchise’s shift toward more grounded and physically intense horror introduced by Evil Dead Rise. Instead of the cabin-in-the-woods setup that defined earlier installments, the new film appears to push the series into another fresh environment while keeping the core mythology intact.

What’s already catching attention online is the movie’s tone. The poster and early marketing emphasize suffering, possession, and bodily destruction over dark comedy, hinting at one of the franchise’s bleakest entries so far.

The project is also being closely watched because of the creative team involved behind the scenes. Franchise veterans Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and Rob Tapert remain attached as producers, helping maintain continuity with the larger Evil Dead universe even as new directors continue reshaping its style.

The film is currently scheduled for 10th July 2026 theatrical release, positioning it as one of the biggest horror releases of the summer season. Given the strong reception to Evil Dead Rise, expectations around the sequel are already extremely high within the horror community.

If the early marketing is anything to go by, Evil Dead Burn looks less interested in nostalgia and more focused on pushing the franchise deeper into visceral, nightmare-driven horror.
