The Deadites aren’t going anywhere.
While horror fans are gearing up for the arrival of Evil Dead Burn later this summer, another installment in the iconic franchise has already reached a major milestone. Reports indicate that Evil Dead Wrath has officially wrapped production and is now moving into post-production ahead of its theatrical release on April 7, 2028.
The film is directed by Francis Galluppi, whose acclaimed thriller The Last Stop in Yuma County earned widespread attention and ultimately led to his involvement with one of horror’s most enduring franchises. Franchise creator Sam Raimi has previously praised Galluppi’s talent for building suspense and delivering intense bursts of violence, qualities that fit perfectly within the Evil Dead universe.
Evil Dead Wrath stars Charlotte Hope, Jessica McNamee, Zach Gilford, Josh Helman, Ella Newton, Elizabeth Cullen, and Ella Oliphant. Story details remain under wraps, though early reports suggest the film will continue the franchise’s recent standalone approach, introducing a new cast of characters who encounter the terrifying forces unleashed by the Necronomicon.
The franchise itself is entering an especially active era. Evil Dead Burn is scheduled to arrive on July 10, 2026, with Evil Dead Wrath following less than two years later. The back-to-back releases mark one of the busiest periods for the series in decades.
Rather than revisiting familiar territory, the modern Evil Dead films have continued to expand the mythology through fresh settings, new characters, and increasingly brutal encounters with Deadite horror. Following the success of Evil Dead Rise, the upcoming films appear poised to further broaden the scope of the franchise while maintaining the relentless intensity that fans have come to expect.
For now, all eyes are on Evil Dead Burn. But with Wrath already wrapped, the next chapter of Deadite terror is waiting just around the corner.
