Yeon Sang-ho, the filmmaker behind Train to Busan, is back with another terrifying outbreak story.
The first trailer for Colony has arrived, offering a tense look at the upcoming South Korean horror thriller. The film follows Professor Se-jeong (Jun Ji-hyun), a biotechnology professor attending a biotech conference when a rapidly mutating virus suddenly breaks out. As authorities seal the venue, everyone inside is forced into a desperate fight for survival.
The trailer teases frantic escapes, relentless infected, and a growing sense of paranoia as the virus spreads through the locked-down facility. Early reactions also suggest the infected display an unsettling level of coordination, giving the film a fresh twist on the infection-horror formula.
Joining Jun Ji-hyun are Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Kim Shin-rok, Shin Hyun-been, and Go Soo. With Yeon Sang-ho once again blending emotional stakes with high-intensity horror, Colony is already shaping up to be one of the genre’s most anticipated upcoming releases.
