Sharks are terrifying on their own. Trapped inside an underwater cave with nowhere to escape? That’s the premise behind The Devil’s Mouth, and its first full trailer makes that fear feel painfully real.
Amazon MGM Studios has released the official trailer for the survival horror film, set to premiere on Prime Video on July 29, 2026, starring Kathryn Newton alongside Lana Condor and Nico Hiraga. The film is a co-production between Amazon MGM Studios and Lionsgate Films, directed by Jeff Wadlow.
Five friends set out on one last adventure along Thailand’s stunning coast before life in the real world begins. They sign up for a guided swim through a remote cave system known as The Devil’s Mouth, a natural wonder that’s as breathtaking as it is unforgiving. Deep inside the labyrinth of narrow waterways, their journey takes a terrifying turn when they discover that a freak storm the week before flooded the caves with sea life. As oxygen runs low and panic sets in, trust within the group begins to fracture, making the shark the least of their problems.
The full cast includes Kathryn Newton, Lana Condor, Nico Hiraga, Gavin Casalegno, Tommi Rose, and Tayme Thapthimthong, with the screenplay written by Aja Gabel and Myung Joh Wesner. The script began life as Apex, appearing on the 2019 Black List of most-liked unproduced screenplays, before eventually becoming The Devil’s Mouth.
