Netflix has released the official teaser trailer for If Wishes Could Kill, an upcoming series described as the platform’s first Korean young adult horror project.
Set to premiere on April 24, 2026, the series centers on a wish-granting app called “Girigo,” which offers users the chance to fulfill their desires, at a deadly cost.
The story takes place at Seorin High School and follows a group of five students whose lives begin to unravel when their wishes start coming true under increasingly dangerous conditions. As the consequences escalate, the group is forced to confront both the supernatural threat and the strain it places on their relationships.
Blending school-life drama with occult horror elements, the series focuses not only on suspense but also on friendship, emotional bonds, and the pressure of choices that can’t be undone.
Directed by Park Youn-seo and written by Park Joong-seop, the project builds its tension around a simple premise, what happens when something meant to grant wishes begins to operate beyond anyone’s control.
